Effective August 11, 2026
This policy explains what data OVgenZ collects, why, and how it's handled. It applies to the OVgenZ web and mobile apps.
OVgenZ is operated by [Developer legal name — the individual developer name registered on the Play Console developer account]. Privacy contact: privacy@ovgenz.com.
Account & sign-in
We use Google Sign-In. Google shares your email address and basic profile info (name, profile photo) with us when you sign up. We don't receive your Google password.
Date of birth
Collected at signup to confirm you meet our 16+ age requirement. Stored on your account and not shown publicly.
Profile information
Username, display name, bio, profile photo, banner image, category, location, and website — anything you choose to add to your profile. This is public by default; private accounts limit visibility to approved followers.
Posts, images, and videos
The photos and videos you upload as Drops, along with captions and hashtags. Every uploaded image and video is subject to automated safety screening and may be reviewed by a human moderator (see Section 3).
Comments
Comment text and replies you post on Drops, and which comments you like.
Messages
Direct messages you send and receive through Yap, including text and any media you share in a conversation. Messages are visible to the participants in that conversation.
Moderation data
Reports you file against a post, comment, or account, and accounts you block. When our automated screening flags a post, it creates a report visible only to moderators. None of this is shown to the account being reported or blocked.
Identity verification data
To post Drops, we require identity verification consisting of a government ID (Aadhaar), an educational marksheet, and a selfie. These files are stored separately from your public profile and are accessible only to authorized personnel who need them to perform verification, review appeals, or investigate verification-related abuse. We retain them only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or as required by law, after which they are securely deleted. Verification documents are never shown publicly or shared with other users.
We rely on the following third parties to run OVgenZ. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us:
We don't sell your data to third parties, and we don't share it with anyone for their own advertising purposes.
Automated screening and human moderators review reported and flagged content to enforce our Community Guidelines. Where required by applicable law, confirmed child sexual abuse material and relevant information will be reported to NCMEC or the appropriate regional authority.
We keep different categories of data for different lengths of time:
You can delete your account directly from the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or from ovgenz.com/delete-account without needing the app installed. This permanently deletes your profile, Drops, comments, saved posts, and verification documents. As described in Section 5, your identity is scrubbed from any shared conversations rather than deleting the other participant's messages, and a small set of moderation or legal records may be retained where legitimately required. You can also reach us at privacy@ovgenz.com if you have trouble with either deletion path.
You can edit your profile information at any time, set your account to private, block other accounts, and report content — all from within the app. You can also unblock accounts you've previously blocked from your profile settings.
OVgenZ is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 is using OVgenZ, contact safety@ovgenz.com.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the effective date above.
